Welcome to Cbeyond Nilaveli!

Nilaveli, located in Trincomalee, in the East Coast of Sri Lanka was largely unvisited for many years and as a result began to experience larger scale development only a few years back.  The people remain simple and warm, the pace is relaxed and slower here than on the other parts of the island and the landscape is stunning.

The concept for C Beyond was designed by friend and renown Sri Lankan Artist Laki Senanayake who has fond memories of visiting the area and swimming in this lagoon during his childhood. The elevated wooden structure of the main house has a rustic charm ideal for this beach setting and lends itself to comfortable daylong breezes. Cooling water ponds and pools, Laki’s signature, surround the building and his art and sculpture can be found all around the property. Laki often visits here, saying it’s one of his favourite places to be!

Many of our staff are from the village in which we are located and were involved during the set up and construction of the property and asked to be trained to stay on and work here once we opened. They have welcomed the opportunity to grown with C Beyond and their genuine hospitality and enthusiasm is felt by our guests.
